"The Origins of Modern Japan"
On January 27th, FEW welcomes Dr. Robert Hengal, who has a Bachelor and Master's Degree in History from Ball State University in Indiana. After graduating from he taught in Germany and Australia and came to Japan to teach at the Canadian Academy in 1976 where he currently teaches Asian and Japanese History.
Dr. Hengel will help us to better understand what historical events and cultural phenomina have shaped the Japanese people into the society we see today.
The menu for January 27th will be as follows:
All light dinners will be followed by a dessert ("Ume" Liqueur Parfait with seasonal fruit jam and coffee/tea.
Regular: Steamed egg royal with Sea Bream, Scallop and Shrimp, Roasted "Mutsu" fillet with Parmesan cheese crust, & Tomato Coulis
Meat: Steamed egg royal with Sea Bream, Scallop and Shrimp, Veal tenderloin with Pepperonata and Prosciutto Mustard - Marsala sauce
Vegetarian: Steamed egg royal with Sea Bream, Scallop and Shrimp, Baked Provencal vegetables and Parmesan cheese in puff pastry, & Tomato Coulis
