Please read these terms of use (the “terms”, “terms of use”, “ToU”) carefully before using the fewkansai.com website (the “website) and/or services such as events or membership presented on this website (the “service” or “services”) offered by FEW Kansai (“us”, ‘we”, “our”, “FEW”).
Unless otherwise noted, we FEW are the legal copyright holders of all written, multimedia and graphic material on our website and such information may not be used, reprinted, (partially) modified or published without our written consent. A link to [www.fewkansai.com] must appear in all copies of any artwork or content, including articles, press releases and similar publications (online or print).
Conditions of Use
FEW will provide its website and services to you, which are subject to the terms stated below in this document. Every time you visit this website, use any service provided by us, or make a purchase from us, you accept the following terms. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access the website or use our services. This is why we urge you to read them carefully.
FEW has the sole discretion to change or replace any part of this agreement. You are responsible for periodically checking this agreement for any changes. Any new Service additions or enhancements are subject to these terms. You consent to any such changes by continuing to use the FEW website and/or services.

We are committed to handling responsibly the information and data we collect through our Website and to using your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Before you continue using our website we advise you to read our Privacy Policy regarding our user data collection as it will help you better understand our practices. The Privacy Policy is hereby incorporated by reference into these terms.
We may collect anonymous data from you while you use our website. You may also willingly provide personal information to us by leaving a comment, signing up to a mailing list, or by using a contact form. Any personal and/or contact information provided to us will be kept private unless you give us explicit consent to share it with a Third Party and/or we are required to by law.

By providing us with your email address (for example when commenting on the website) you thereby consent to receiving communications from us by way of mailing list or other means. If you subscribe to the newsletter on our website, you will receive email communications from us. MEMBERSHIP
FEW Membership Requirements and Terms
The definition of FEW, its operations, membership types and requirements are defined in the FEW Constitution. FEW operates within the bounds of this Constitution. Details of membership fees and structure may be provided upon request to the Membership Director through email at few@fewkansai.com. A brief overview of our membership pricing and benefits can be found on our How to Join page.
Membership Terms
The membership year shall run for one year from date that the member joins FEW. Members may join at any time of the year.
Membership Fees & Dues
Fees and dues will be charged to cover the operating expenses of FEW as determined by the budget prepared by the Finance Director. Any change to the fees or dues must be approved by the Board. The annual fees and dues are as listed in FEW Constitution and are subject to change.
Cancellation of Membership
All memberships are for the period of time as stated in either the FEW Constitution or as published on the website, calculated from the date on which dues are paid. Membership dues cannot be pro-rated and are not refundable nor transferable.
User Account Terms
If you are an owner of an account on this website – all members of FEW are required to sign in to their account in order to use the member-only section of the website – you are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password, and we urge all users to create strong passwords and not re-use passwords from other accounts. You must notify us of any security breach as soon as possible. We will not be liable for any loss or damage if you fail to comply with this security obligation.
Accounts registered by automated methods are not allowed. You must be a real person to use this service who has paid their membership dues to gain access to their account.
You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
One person may not sign up for more than one account.
You may not use the FEW website for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You must not violate any laws in your jurisdiction in your usage of the FEW website and/or services.
We reserve the right to terminate your account if you violate any of the terms described above or below.
Account Termination or Cancellation
As a member of FEW, we urge all members to create an account so they can receive the member-only perks, discounts, and news offered. You can decide what information to show on your account and all can be invisible except for your full name. This information is only visible to other members of FEW.
When your membership term is up and if you have not renewed your membership, you may continue to receive notifications of FEW events that are sent to nonmember contacts. If you wish to be deleted from our contact database, please email through [few@fewkansai.com].
If you cancel your membership before the end of your membership term, you will not be charged after the end of the current membership term or asked to renew at a later date.
FEW has the right to suspend or terminate your account with or without cause and with or without notice at any time. If your account is terminated, all content and profile information will be immediately deleted and you will no longer have access to your account. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.
Users of FEW Website and Services Other Than Members
Events
In consideration of the acceptance by FEW of payment for participating in any FEW service or FEW-affiliated service, you agree to release and indemnify FEW (including its board representatives) as follows, understanding that further indemnity information is further below in this policy as well:
· You participate in the events at your sole risk and responsibility;
· You release and indemnify FEW from and against all and any actions or claims which may be made by me, on my behalf or by third parties, arising out of any injury, loss, damage, or death caused to me, my property or that of others, whether by negligence, breach of contract or in any way whatsoever.
· You also agree that in the event of injury, death or loss or damage caused to yourself or others, no claims, legal actions or otherwise, shall be made by you or on your behalf or by third parties against FEW in respect of that injury, death, property loss or damage.
Cancellation of Event
FEW reserves the right to cancel an event service due to low enrollment, inclement weather, or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable.
Unless specifically stated on registration materials, the deadline to receive a refund for an event is 96 hours before the event.
Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund.
Cancellations can be made on the website up until the cancellation deadline. If unable to cancel via the website, cancellations must be received at few@fewkansai.com by the stated cancellation deadline.
Refunds
Refunds apply to cash, direct transfer, and credit card payments made through the FEW website for services provided by FEW. FEW is not responsible for refunding credit card processing or bank fees.
If FEW cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund of the price listed on the website. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, registrants will have the option to either receive a full refund on the price listed on the website or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date.
Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend an event.
We will only issue refunds on credit card payments in cases of fraud, overpayment, or cancellation via the proper channels by the listed cancellation date. In cases of fraud, the customer must submit a signed affidavit from the bank or agency issuing the credit card.
When you pay by credit card, it is our policy to issue the refund back to that credit card account used to make the payment.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these terms of use, by operation of law or otherwise, without our prior written consent. Any attempt by you to assign or transfer these terms, without such consent, will be null and of no effect. FEW may assign or transfer these terms, at its sole discretion, without restriction. Subject to the foregoing, these terms will bind and inure to the benefit of the parties, their successors, and permitted assigns.
Comments, Reviews, Posts, and Emails
Visitors may post content as long as it is not spam, junk mail, chain letters, pyramid schemes or any other form of unsolicited or unwelcome or obscene, illegal, defamatory, or threatening solicitation or advertising and further, which is content that is not infringing of intellectual property rights, invasive of privacy or injurious in any other way to third parties. Content has to be free of software viruses, political campaign, and commercial solicitation.
We reserve all rights (but not the obligation) to remove and/or edit such content.
The website may include information and materials provided by members, guest speakers, Sponsors and, in certain cases, third parties that are providing information deemed relevant and useful to the FEW community. This content has not been verified or approved by FEW. Views expressed by other users or content providers on the website do not represent our views or values and the accuracy of such content is the responsibility of the members or guest speakers or third parties who have responsibility to ensure that their work complies with national and relevant foreign laws and regulations. The opinions expressed by members, guest speakers or third parties are their own and do not represent the position or beliefs of FEW.
Copyright and Content Ownership
FEW retains the right to edit, publish, remove, replace, delete etc content provided by the community for publishing on the website at FEW’s sole discretion. FEW also may reveal source of the content in cases where a third party claims that the content posted is a violation of their intellectual property rights.
By submitting content to FEW, you are granting FEW with a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable, irrevocable, and fully sub-licensable right, to such content which (other than personal identifiable data which is covered under FEW Privacy Policy), we may use at our absolute discretion.
License and Site Access
We grant you a limited license to access and make personal use of this website. You are not allowed to download or modify it. This may be done only with written consent from us.
Changes to the FEW Kansai Website or Services
FEW reserves the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, our website and/or services, such as events and membership plans, with or without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the terms.
If any changes to the website is unacceptable to you, or causes you to no longer be compliant with the terms of use, FEW Constitution, or any other FEW policy, you may cancel your membership and/or stop using the website or services of FEW.
Continued use of the website now or following posted notices of changes to these terms means that you have accepted and are bound by the changes.
FEW will not be liable to you or anyone for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the FEW website or other services.
General Conditions
Our website and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis and information on our website is provided as general information and not considered to be advice from us or our members. You are taking all the provided information at your own risk. Please contact your local competent professional if you need further information before making a decision based on the content of our website.
We use third party vendors and hosting partners to provide the hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to run the FEW website and services.
Users of the website may be unregistered visitors, registered guests for notifications, or paying subscribers (referred to as Members). The terms specified in this terms of use applies to all types of users.
The different options for utilizing, subscribing to, and/or partaking in events are published on the website. You must be 20 years or older to register or subscribe to any of FEW’s services or offerings, including but not limited to community services, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
You must provide FEW with accurate, complete and up-to-date registration information when submitting on the website or any services provided by FEW.
If you choose to use the FEW website and/or services, you consent to the transfer and storage of any content and other profile information on servers located in the United States and/or Japan.
We may remove content and accounts containing content that we determine in our sole discretion to be unlawful, offensive, threatening, libelous, defamatory, pornographic, obscene or otherwise objectionable or violates any party’s intellectual property or these terms of use.
You must not intimidate or harass another through the services and you may not post or transmit any personally identifiable information about persons considered minors in the area in which you reside.
You must not transmit any worms or viruses or any content of a destructive nature.
FEW does not promise that the website will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We make every effort to ensure that it will satisfy your requirements and expectations, but make no promises in this regard. FEW cannot be held liable for system down time, crashes or data loss. Although we try to keep our website running 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, access to our website may be temporarily or permanently suspended and without notice, at our own discretion for any reason, including to perform updates or technical issues beyond our control. This may include difficulties we have with our settings if converted to another language (e.g. Japanese) where there is a system issue with the language characters.
The failure of FEW to exercise or enforce any right or provision of the Terms of Use shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. This terms of use supersedes any prior agreements or prior versions of terms of use between you and FEW. You agree that these terms of use and your use of the FEW website and/or services are governed under Japan law.
If you choose to provide us with your information, you consent to the transfer and storage of that information on our servers located in the United States and Japan.
You are responsible for all usage and activity on the FEW website regardless of usage status. You are responsible for protecting any passwords and other information you utilized to access or receive FEW services. FEW is not responsible for any form of viruses, malware, trojans or other types of online threats or security breaches, and you must not introduce such threats to the FEW online domain. You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computing devices and platforms to access the FEW website. You should use your own online security protection software, including virus protection. Failure to comply with any of the above will be considered a breach of the terms of use of FEW website and services.

Indemnification
When visiting FEW website, utilizing services including but not limited to reading content, signing up for notifications, signing up for membership, attending FEW events, and any other interaction with FEW community, including Sponsors, members, guests, guest speakers, community speakers or third-party organizations that FEW is hosting joint events with, you shall indemnify and hold harmless the members of the FEW community, including but not limited to officers, directors, agents, successors, vendors, from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and/or injuries arising out of, or related to the use of FEW website, services, offerings (including raffle prizes or other gifts received indirectly from Sponsors of FEW), and any breach of the terms, FEW Constitution, and/or other policies that FEW follows.
This includes, without limitation, claims by you, or your organization or anyone associated with your organization, or your company and affiliated parties to your company, as well as any other persons or entities bringing the claims. This provision will survive termination of this terms of use.
Notifying FEW
You must notify FEW at few@fewkansai.com if you know or suspect any unauthorized use of your information you use to access FEW services. This includes suspected loss, theft, or unauthorized disclosure of your password or billing information.
