However, as Japanese society has modernized, their works are often overlooked or seen as irrelevant. In such times, what can be done to support traditional arts and artisans? This month, we will learn about one individual’s efforts to make a difference.
Yuko Sangu, our February guest speaker, is passionate about sharing the crafts of traditional artisans and igniting interest in their work in Japan and abroad. Join us for an inside look into the world of traditional Japanese artisans and leave with a deeper appreciation of the significance of their work in our changing modern world.
